What’s this all about?

This blog was initiated in January 2010 to help educate (and entertain) my family and friends on healthy living.   I am a Registered Dietitian (RD) and Certified Diabetes Educator (CDE) who has been in private practice since 1999.   As a lifelong health and fitness enthusiast, I enjoy sharing my knowledge, insights, and experience with my readers.  As a chronic disease specialist, I spend the majority of my time helping others prevent and manage chronic conditions such as obesity, diabetes, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, digestive disorders, and autoimmune illnesses, but I am also willing to address any topic related to living a healthy lifestyle.
